Dirty and old

Check in was a little confused as the only clue I had that I was at the correct hotel was that I followed the GPS exactly.First impressions of the room; ‘very busy’ and dazzling, the carpet pattern is so strong it can make you dizzy!
There is nothing really wrong with the room on the whole other than the plethora of clutter. The bedroom is however reasonably clean, other than a few stains on the walls and the complete ant infestation, there are very small ants almost everywhere, marching along in single file! The bath room is not as good with cracked tiles, grime in all corners stains on the walls, loose tap fittings and a dead (at least it was dead) cockroach to top it off, oh and the continuation of the ant infestation. Amusingly they have supplied shower gel, shampoo and body cream in pump dispensers which they have glued to the counter top and shower area (see pic). I chose not to shower as the old CRT TV suspended above the bath/shower had non bathroom approved mains electric connections and looked extremely dangerous.
Breakfast - I was not acknowledged by the staff, they were too busy watching TV, I looked around and the only notable thing was the absence of any food, there were 2 slices of bread, no juices, and all serving trays were virtually empty this despite a full hotel. After trying to get the staff’s attention I gave up, got a coffee and took it outside hoping that when I came back at least some food would be replenished. No chance, on my return (5-10min) nothing had changed, I asked a member of staff for some orange juice, “No Have”, “any juice” “No Have”, “what do you have”, “Water”, “um? OK have you any bread”, “Bread?” “ok never mind you go back to watching your TV show!”
In my opinion only 2 – 2.5 stars?
