My family of 3 adults and 2 kids choose to stay at Alama because of the panaromic infinity pool and the famous kantiang beach which is 5 min walk down the road passing by rustic yet plenty of modern aminities such as shops spa major ATMs 7-11. We were there during low season in June hence the upper tier 2 bedroom cottages and pool access suites were empty except us. Our pool access suite is great for my kids dipping into the pool till late night. The hotel serves halal food which is an added advantage for us. We tried the Alama western menu, juices and it was really surprisingly good. We are not a breakfast family, however the basic morning serving of omellete coffee tea juices fruits local fried rice etc is just appetizing. There are other halal food stall restuarants nearby and we frequent this family run restuarant Zareena for our dinner. Annie and staff is exceptionally helpful and so heartwarming. I guess Alama has great affiliation with the tour operators hence Alama provide guest discounts so try ask Annie for your activities. Beds are comfy, as a family we would not mind the separate toilet with shower curtains however the toilet area is a bit dim. Wifi is great probably coz not many guest during our stay to utilize the broadband signal. Overall it is a very plesant stay. Alama is a hilltop resort so you must walk up a lot of stairs to the upper tier bangalows to absorb immensely the wonderful peaceful panaromic picturesque view of kantiang bay from Alama. Will definitely return again.
