Very nice family owned hotel, beautiful beach front location, very quiet, yummy meals.

This is a small size (just about 10 rooms), very friendly Thai-Westerner family owned beach front hotel. Rooms are big and private, all with patio. Don't expect full facilities like a large size resort, but it has all the basics like swimming, bar, fitness equipment, rental canoe/SUP, and so on. Food is excellent, both Thai local and western, I saw some Southern USA dishes, which may be the husband's native land. The beach is very shallow to a considerable distance from the shore, so you can actually "walk" at least a few hundred yards into the ocean at low tide. Since many foreign tourists considers Chumphon just as a transit point for off-shore islands, and because the region is too far for a weekend trip by Bangkokians, Chumpon has many well kept secret beaches.
