Perfect place for a solo traveler.

I am a solo traveler, who stopped in Chiangmai in the way to Chiang Rai. I only had one day, but I was so comfortable and was able to walk to so much. There is a market practically across the street from the Golden Bell. They arranged for a driver to take me up to see the Doi Suthep temple and the hidden temple. The idea was to go in the late afternoon so I could hear them chanting. I got to do more, i was invited to chant with them. The driver, Suoi (sp?) was amazing! He not only gave me lots of information, he helped me with pronunciation of common phrases. He was super polite too! The hotel was very accommodating in every way! And very friendly! It was perfect for me!

Good hotel in the center, 100 m from an old gate and bus and taxis. Breakfast is rich. The staff is extra, absolut great.
