Modern but no soundproofing located southern end of Patong

Fishermens Harbour Resort a multi-storey complex located in the southern end of Patong. It is down the back of the night markets and there are a number of restaurants markets stores like 7-Eleven that are all nearby.
The resort is reasonably new with 4 buildings surrounding a Courtyard where there are two swimming pools and spa. There is a fitness center but none of the Machinery is ever plugged in & the plug Outlets sealed with metal so it's ridiculous you can't use them.
The rooms are modern, spacious with tea & coffee making facilities, free bottled water, bathrobes, a small safe, about fridge and a hair dryer.
There are also some reused thongs provided which is disgusting. 
The king size bed is simply two single beds pushed together & there is nothing covering the gap in the middle and the beds are hard.
Unfortunately there is no sound proofing and you can hear everything that is going on in the adjoining rooms or at in the corridors.
The shower pressure is average.
