Probably the best in town for travelers with young families

If you are traveling to Mae Sariang with kids, you will be limited as to choice. Above the Sea is one of the few that accepts children at no extra charge, including breakfast. The owner is very hospitable, friendly, and helpful. The room and hotel has a rustic feel as does the town. For anyone not accustomed to 3-star hotels, Mae Sariang is probably not the best choice of places to travel to in Northern Thailand. However, if you enjoy a laid back environment and don't mind staying somewhere that doesn't have all the luxurious trimmings, I can highly recommend Above the Sea as a place to stay in Mae Sariang! They are also in the process of building more rooms and a swimming pool which will add a great feature to your stay.
