The hotel is filled with interesting objects and antiques collected by the owner during the past 40 years. Lovely pool. Breakfast was ok. Only downer for us was that the room has only shuttered windows, no glass or screens. Lots of mosquitos, beds have netting around them, even so you cannot leave the shutters open to let in some natural light. We stayed there to take in the Loy Krathon Festival in the Historical Park (hotel will drive you there for 400 baht). No shops or many restaurants in the immediate vicinity. So if you're looking for a quiet place to stay the Ruen Thai is it.
