A little hard to find but well worth it

The hosts are great & will gladly give excellent tips as well as hand-drawn maps to sights. There is a large dining table in the main building where guests gather. We had a great time interacting with other guests at breakfast & in the evenings. We rented a car because we really wanted to explore the area. This also meant finding our way back each night. it is located about 20 minutes drive north of Chiang Rai city center. If you're driving, you might want to print off a map from Google maps before you leave so you can see the routes in and out. Only one of the many options has signs. I had GPS on my phone so we were OK. Breakfast is 175 baht - well worth the price for a big breakfast. The rice soup breakfast is very similar in flavor to Pho- one of the best breakfasts I've had in SE Asia. If you drink black tea, bring your own tea bags as you only get one with breakfast - extras are 30 baht each. The rooms are large and comfortable & the scenery is peaceful.
