Bambuh shows up on Agoda alongside hotels and markets itself as a boutique nature retreat with ”all the amenities you need.” The coffee in the room is instant, there were no wash cloths etc. Reviews mention how good the food is, but not the fact there is no menu. The dinner we were served was amazing, however, we were left hungry and had no idea we wouldn’t have a say in what we ate or that it would be one dish per person after a very long travel day. One of us doesn’t eat fish or shellfish so luckily both dishes were with chicken. The breakfast was fantastic and there is a menu for that. Nothing to say there. Overall, Bambuh is far away from town (20 minute ride) and the distance makes it more of a hindrance than a value. I.e. if you want meals or snacks. When getting a grab to town from bambuh, we had many drivers cancel on us prior to finally finding someone that would pick us up. We forfeited several paid nights at Bambuh because we were disappointed and spending more than we thought just to travel about. Don’t recommend staying here unless you don’t plan to leave other than seeing the temples and you have ample snacks, drinks, alcohol or whatever your pleasures are to get you through.
