We stayed at the Ramada for six nights. The customers appeared to be mainly Indian tour groups who came across as unfriendly. The hotel staff were fine, but were evidently under pressure with customers from a different culture.
There are no taxis / tuk tuks waiting at the front of the hotel. On the plus side transport fares are regulated, but are expensive, as are costs in general in Patong. Beach cleanliness have improved a lot and recommend Kamala & Kata Beaches. Best food we had is not on the internet, a Middle eastern restaurant, just great food and service, opposite Soi Bangla on the main road
