New and clean hotel with nice pool

The hotel is around a year old and looks clean and new throughout. We booked a superior room and it was big and nicely decorated with a very comfy bed. The location is really good, set back a bit from the main drag but close enough so you can easily walk to it and the beach. There are a number of places nearby for laundry or to rent a scooter. Although the staff were friendly they seemed a bit disorganised during breakfast time, failing to clear tables and get arrivals seated. There were also some delays for food when they failed to anticipate demand and had to prepare fresh batches of eggs/bacon etc. The breakfast is good though with a lot of options. When I asked the front desk to call me a metered taxi they first told me no such thing existed in Phuket (it does) then told me they'd charge me 30 baht a minute to make the call! I expect better than this from a 4 star hotel.

Friendly staff, good room, good location
