Tucked away with a fresh design

Super squeaky clean, with a neat design to boot. We came beginning of July 2020, so virus vibes were on the decline and the price was great. The standard room was a perfect size for us. It seemed nice to be tucked away on a quiet street; some very walkable temples nearby and some locals to watch just going about their lives. There were some drawbacks to the location though. In the field space next door, to the west, there's some loud activity in the morning around 6-7am that woke us up two days in a row. At night, strolling back after exploring the city around 9pm, there were some shady characters on the prowl. One lone man on his scooter even looped through the street a few times, making us feel unsafe so we sprinted back. From that experience, I would recommend getting a taxi back in the evenings, one hundred percent.

Great location and intimate hotel

Quaint with modern and Thai charm

Top class accommodation, very helpful staff, good location.
Our first trip to Chiang Mai so we were impressed with El Barrio Lanna’s immaculate facilities and friendly helpful staff. Hope to return again soon.
