fabulous hotel experience
we have just returned from anantara lawana resort & spa it was a pleasure to stay at & we highly recommend it. the staff, service and food were fantastic and it's very well run. we had two different pool villas during our 8 night stay and both were fabulous, although the room lighting needs improving,it's very difficult to see when getting dressed or putting on makeup etc. you expect better from a luxury hotel. lighting on pathways is also poor in many areas and needs attention. the beachfront restaurants & breakfast were very good. treetops food was a little expensive & a bit disappointing as the flavours were confused but the service was good. our early morning checkout was a hassle as the porter didn't arrive to pick up our bags & we had to take them ourselves to the lobby which was a bit of a hike. all in all it's a beautiful, peaceful place to stay. the beach was lovely and quiet as it's disconnected from busy chaweng beach (you can't walk along the beach to the main part of chaweng beach). it's a five minute taxi or bus trip or a longer but interesting walk by road. we would stay there again!!
