We loved our long weekend here. The staff were great, nothing was too much trouble, and I loved those little thoughtful things such as a free shoulder massage while lying by the pool, or the free fruit sticks in the afternoon.
We stayed in a pool villa and it was everything we wanted. Quiet, not overlooked, with a lovely little pool and deck area to relax. Rooms are well appointed and comfortable although my wife found the bed a little firm.
We had a massage at the Spa which was very good, if a little expensive - but that is expected in the larger resorts I suppose.
The resort itself is starting to show its age - the concrete and wood (decking, doors etc) look worn, but are well maintained, and this didn't detract from a great time. The beach is small but ideal for us - however it might not be enough to satisfy active kids. Then again, the main Chaweng beach is a 15 minute walk or a 200 baht taxi ride away.
One caution - slap on the insect repellant. I was fine but my wife came back with a nasty dose of dengue fever, despite making liberal use of Aerogard.
