family vacation with 1 infant(23mths old) and 2 elderly

The location is too remote! Takes half an hour(fastest) to drive to Ao Nang...The pictures online was stunning, view is stunning from the top where the reception is,really stunning view but that's about it. Hotel decor is old but well maintained.There is nothing much available in walking distance other than the few hotels situated in the particular area.the beach was beautiful but not impressive. Not even a super market to buy water,snacks or amenities...
Staff cannot really speak fluent english. Having a proper conversation may be an issue at times.
Cleanliness is satisfactory. We tried to request for a cleaning before their cleaning hours and was asked to wait...
Facilities in the hotels are ok. However, it must be noted if travelling with elderly that this hotel is not suitable at all as they have many steps from the reception all the way to the beach! Old people may not make it and there are no alternatives.
Food at Bellini (mainly Italian food) was OK. Food in Lotus restaurant especially the Thai cuisines are edible,nothing fantastic, and not inviting for a second try.
To conclude the whole experience, one should only stay in this hotel if you want only peaceful and quiet, away from everything else, and of course spending all your money for F&B in the hotel only.
I am personally underwhelmed with my experience and will not really recommend anyone else I know to stay in this hotel.
