Great location, building site right next door
I've stayed at this hotel dozens of times and always been very happy. However there is a building site next to the hotel and the noise is unbelievably loud and will probably continue for the next 2 years, Also on this occasion I had to change rooms and the one I got had an unpleasant smell. so bad that I had some of the furniture removed and bed linen changed but that did not get rid of the smell. I got no reaction from one receptionist. On my last visit my room had sewage coming up from the toilet, but the hotel was full so I had to wait until the next day to be moved to another room. Most staff are very pleasant and helpful but I think the LK company has become so big that the owners general managers are not keeping up with building maintenance. IE. there are trees starting to grow on the parapet wall outside the swimming pool, this in turn will dislodge the parapet from the building, The paintwork has been neglected and a broken roller sun blind has been hanging off for months.
