5* beach resort, handy to airport, far from town

Stayed at JW Marriott as Mai Khao was closest beach area to the airport. Luxury hotel over large grounds with nice gardens and décor. Rooms where large and in good condition as was the bathroom. This is more of a family hotel, lots of pools and activities to keep the family amused. The beach, when we went [MARCH] was very clean and the water was blue. I have heard that it can get very dirty at certain times of the year, but it was pristine for us. Closish to airport (20minutes) and our trips to/from experienced no traffic. Far from Patong and Phuket City in terms of time. We stayed in Patong earlier and its at least an hour in traffic from there. But overall, satisfied with the JW Marriott
