Negative: They had to move me to a different room because water leaked from under the toilet when flushed. This can happen at the most expensive hotels, too.
In the 1st room, all the lights did not work, in the 2nd some did not and some did and the TV did not work from the remote nor did the air conditioner. I think perhaps all remote batteries needed changing. I was okay without air conditioning in the 2nd room.
After my Internet reserved and VISA paid for 3 days, at check out, the woman there (I had seen her the other days) tried to tell me (not ask) that I had not paid yet. When she discovered I had, she was extremely apologetic and genuinely sorry. Where was the paperwork that was there ready when I checked in? It was not her fault.
There were bottles of free water and iced glasses in the refrigerator. Clean towels, bars of soap and shampoo were supplied daily and the bright, cheery room with floor to ceiling windows was cleaned daily. The location was 2 blocks from downtown and 1.6 kms. from my Church. I could walk to both.
The shower was hot.
I have stayed in $20 a night hotels and had much worse. It was quite accommodating--and who spends all their time in their hotel room? It's only for sleeping and changing clothes. I do not watch TV in hotel rooms.
For $10 a night it was great, and being able to use basic Thai and a translator in my phone, I found the staff quite pleasant and helpful, e.g. in changing my room when I had the toilet problems in the 1st room.
I strongly recommend it to anyone. It is not luxurious. It is $10 a night and a good bargain. More than sufficient.
