We drove into the parking lot and my wife says “oh boy now I’m nervous” as she selected this hotel. I wanted to stay at Arista just down the road. We stayed there before it’s brand new and same price.
We go inside and they start photocopying our ID and I’m sweating profusely as the AC is off. But they have nice fans pointed directly at the staff. We complete check in and they give us one key card. We ask for a second and are told that’s not possible. Keep in mind that you cannot access rooms without a key card to open the lobby door leading to the room lifts. So if you are in the room and need to go down you have to remove the key card and the person left in the room has no power or AC. I found this pretty unacceptable.
We get to the room and the whole ceiling is exposed. Conduit wires, bare cement just everything. There was no ceiling. It was horrendous.
We had prepaid so no refund. I didn’t care. We walked out and paid cash for a room at Arista. Glad we did.
