I thought the previous reviews giving it 6 was a bit unfair, it's a 3 star hotel not 5 star. Maybe they were expecting 5 star standard of room and breakfast. We didn't have one problem with this hotel. It was clean, new, staff very friendly, they were friendlier then most 5 star hotels, cheap, breakfast included was toast, coffee, juice, omelette, sausages, ham, fried egg, rice with pork meatball soup and fruit all freshly cooked. Other hotels in area that are more expensive just offer toast and tea for breakfast. So we thought this hotel was value for money. We had a nice view of mountains, we did ask for that. If you want the highest floor that would be a VIP room. The location was out of the main area but that didn't worry us as we had a car. If you don't have a car, catch a songtail. The bed wasn't that hard compared to other 3/4 star hotels we have stayed at in Thailand. So I don't know why the last reviewer complained about that.
