Excellent stay
We had an excellent ending to our months journey in Thailand at Andalay Resort, Ko Libong. The resort has been designed beautifully, the gardens are wonderfully layed out and the swimming pool is fantastic (you can order your cocktail to the side of the pool). The swimming pool is also the place to watch the incredible sunsets!
We stayed in one of the Anda rooms, it was spacious, clean, comfy and had some really great features!
The resort is on the beach, opposite is a small island that you can kayak too, the water is crystal clear but it is quite a rocky area with the tide going in and out so you have to catch the right time to kayak.
ko Libong is still a very remote island, there aren't any official places to visit or taxis to take you anywhere. What I can recommend is getting a scooter from the resort and exploring the island, there are plenty of remote beaches to find, with hundreds of beautiful shells and giant hermit crabs! The fishing village is really interesting and the locals are really friendly - try a breakfast down there! Next to Andalay are two other beach bungalow resorts so there are other options for somewhere to eat walking distance. There are several local spots nearby too, the island is dry so be aware that alcohol is only sold in the resorts (at a higher price than normal).
We took a day trip to Ko Muk and the emerald caves - I would really recommend doing this if you're staying there for a while.

I would 100% recommend Andalay Beach Resort, perfect place to chill out in luxury!
