mostly pros, some cons. good for family

overall, a very good place to stay. Pros: the location was excellent with a clean private beach suitable for swimming. the hotel is located at the end of the main path, far from noisy bars. the 10 minute walk to shopping, dining and day excursions was no problem; there are a limited number of choices at the hotel doorstep as well. our group had two rooms, one with a double and one with two singles. both double and single beds were comfortable and large enough to accommodate my 6'5" (196 cm) companions with no problem. the room was spacious, with a kitchenette, comfy couch and impressive shower. the balcony is large and shaded with a great view. breakfast was good with western style, halal and vegetarian choices. Cons: the infinity pool needs maintenance and a better filter. the tea kettle in one room was filled with an oily film and smelled strongly of fish. staff should have noticed. balcony doors are checked by the monkeys at least 2x a day looking for access to unlocked rooms.
