Good Stay but far from other fun areas even with free shuttle

We stayed at a 3 bedrooms villa to celebrate our father's special birthday. The staffs are friendly, however very obvious that the team is lack of training- I tried to organise an in-villa BBQ as a surprise birthday celebration for my dad. It was a fairly painful progress to communicate more than 7 of their staffs and NONE of them communicate with each other which it was very frustrating that by the 7th person I talked to, she still got most of the info wrong. While also staff members make up things as they go - one said the birthday cake is 1,100 bht while the other staff said it is free for birthday or anniversary celebration, which made us very confused.
A few more issues that made us got very frustrated because everyone provided us different answers. The villa itself is great, worth every dime we spent. However, the service level is just way below a 3-star hotels, if you pride yourself as a villa resort, the service should be better especially when guests willing to spend.
