Nice hotel but overpriced for the facilities

The hotel is built in a small space and one feels quite constricted if attributed a room downstairs. The staff, cleaning crew and people in general always hovering around the rooms, there is no privacy. The room curtains have to be drawn and you are in a dark box. Plus management/staff is very rigid with lots of rules. I asked to check in one hour early, got an e mail in which they agreed, but when I got there, Tito insisted that I wait til exactly 2 pm, spinning a story about the room being sprayed with chemicals ( for mosquitoes ) and having to wait til the smell disappears. I had been flying for 24 hours and was exhausted, there were many empty rooms available, but I saw zero compassion there as he watched me sit in the hall. For $80 a night in Thailand, I expected a bit more kindness. In my opinion, overpriced hotel which does not offer complimentary breakfast, has no decent parking space even for guests scooters ( staff takes all the space), a tiny pool. Will not return there.

Traditional hotel in great location with staff who like people!

Very peaceful and quiet spot
I prefer old town and would stay in old town next time. However Banthai was very nice and serene. The pool hours could be longer. The water pressure could have been better and hotter. What's the point... อ่านต่อ
