Overall great experience
Overall, this was a great stay. We picked Racha Island because we were looking for a more secluded island. We did in fact find it here. We had been to other islands in the region and found that this was the most beautiful and most secluded. (As I write this, I realize by telling everyone about it by writing a good review, that more people may come, so I am hesitant to continue...)
This resort was, to my knowledge, one of two on the island. It had great service, friendly people, good atmosphere and beautiful setup. The room was clean and orderly, as you would expect. The restaurant was very good and the room rate was right. In the morning, we watched the sunset and then rang the "designated" bell for "good fortune" all beside a beautiful infinity pool. I walked the 15 minutes to the other resort (I could have gotten a ride from the hotel) and beach and did some scuba diving. And although Ban Raya Resort did not have the beautiful white sand beach that the other resort had it was only a short walk away. Again, I had been to other islands in the area (Ko Phi Phi, for example), and thought that this was the best place of them all. I only wish I could have had more time to stay. I would recommend this resort for sure.
