My family vacation at Mauang Samyi Villas

The hotel room was very comfortable, with a very big toilet, an outdoor shower and a bath tub with Jacuzzi. A big wash counter with two basins. The room had a beautiful balcony which could be accessed by a passage from the room . The covered balcony was about 25 feet away from the room giving a direct view of the pool side and the sea. Since there were a lot of trees, the vision of the beach was slightly restricted. The balcony was having an outdoor sofa waith a small table, it had a fan and lights. But it is advisable not to switch on the lights, because of mosquitoes. The hotel has an in house Italian restaurant called the Ciccio, but the pizzas they served were average. Also the portion of the pastas was very poor, but the price was not poor. I suggest that people who love Italian cusine can find a better option in a restaurant called Baoli which is very near Muang Samui Villas. It is about 200 meters frim the hotel towards Chaweng. It is run by a French gentleman, and the Pizzas are fantastic. The pastas are also very good and the portions are lavish. I wanted to take an Island tour with my family. I booked a taxi from the hotel. They charged me 3200 bath. The hotel did not give me the hotel vehical but instead arranged a taxi from outside. In the last leg of the Island tour, the driver of the taxi name "Chat" suddenly became aggressive and told me that I was spending a lot of time and that he has to return for another pickup. I was shocked and also feared that he may leave my family if we didn't go immediately. I called the hotel front desk only to be told that the Island tour had to be finished within 4 hours. I had no choice but to negotiate with the driver. He asked me for 500 bath more which I gave because I had no choice. He later told me that he normally charges 2500bath for the Island tour, but the Hotel gave him only 2000 bath. On returning to the hotel, I asked the hotel for a receipt but they said they couldn't give any.
