Stayed at the Banyan Tree many years ago and wanted to relive that experience. The staff and service are still very helpful and friendly but the hotel facilities and equipment are now very dated.
Room is big. Love the bathtub. Love the different oils and incense for each day of the week. There are plenty of egg choices for breakfast and champagne if u wanna start early.
The room can do better however with more electrical charging points. Carpets and TV is old and TV isn't clear. My main gripe is the electrical setup for the lights - One master switch overrides everything (including lights in wardrobe), which is normal but disables all the other switches too. i.e you can't switch just the bathroom light on in the night without going to the master switch again which you have to hold on for a few seconds each time to cycle thru the modes (which needs discovery) and turn all the lights on. Swimming pool had alot of algae floating in it
