Beautiful hotel on the Chao Phraya River

We spent a weekend at The Peninsula in Bangkok. The hotel is on the west side of the river bank and has a free ferry that can get you to the other side or to other boat terminals. The rooms are classic and views (at least in the corner rooms) are panoramic. The service is attentive, and the employees are very welcoming. We ate breakfast there each morning and appreciated the plethora of more unique breakfast options (from beet juice to goji berries and everything in between) but would have loved some more Thai dishes.
