Terrible Housekeeping And Cleanliness In Rooms
booked a private pool villa but was appalled by the cleanliness of it.
The bathroom floor was mouldy, the doors had lots of fingerprints on them, the windows in the bathroom were filthy, the bedsheets were stained, and the air conditioning had this old misty smell and was very noisy. The private pool villa is not worth the money, as it was VERY dirty. Lots of dead leafs and tiny insects floating on top, and lots of dirt and sand at the bottom. I don't think they even bother to clean the private pool after each guest. I was shown 3 different private pool villas, all of them were in the same condition. This used to be a Mercure hotel, but I think they were recently taken over privately, maybe that explains the terrible housekeeping standards. This is an old resort, the rooms and furniture are tired and old, the rattan decor in the rooms are stained with brown spots, there's even cobwebs at the edge of the ceilings. For what I paid for a private pool villa, I was really unhappy at what I got, especially as I was expecting 4 star standards. If I was paying 30% of what I paid, I would not have any complains though.
The breakfast buffet was very nice though. good selections and fresh food.
