Quiet bungalow in rural part of town. Very kind hosts.
I really enjoyed my stay and the kind and friendly staff went out of their way to ensure that I did. The room was clean and comfortable and I enjoyed walking along the road and exploring the area (watch out for wild dogs though).
I can't ride a motorbike and was kindly taken to the two hot springs and into town for dinner each evening. You can get breakfast by ordering the night before but no other meals. This was inconvenient for me but wouldn't be for those with a bike. However, for ease, I just wanted to arrange a pick-up time in advance but was encouraged to text instead. The poor reception and my international phone meant that I was often waiting 15-45 minutes as my text hadn't been delivered for ages. I guess they have had a problem before with guests not being there at the requested time but it was a pain for me. I also felt a bit embarrassed having to ask for lifts to town for dinner even though the staff were always gracious.
(Note: Ranong taxis massively overcharge.)
