Good value, friendly staff
I stayed here with a group of 20 business colleagues for a retreat. We paid about US$44 per room per night (double occupancy) in mid-September. They make up for the cheap rooms with expensive poolside drinks (about US$8 each) though they have a buy one/get one happy hour every evening. The restaurant is exceptionally good given the price point. My only complaint is that the bathrooms are a bit treacherous to navigate and the plumbing a bit antique. Everything is stone tile and there's no bath mats so you have to shower standing on a towel or you will slip. I also was unable to balance hot and cold water -- the shower was either all hot or all cold.
The resort is also surrounded by complementary businesses. We rented scooter bikers next door for about us$8 per day. Be sure to take before/after photos of your bike because the guy demanded an extra US$10 because of a scratch on the bike that was definitely there before we picked it up. 7-11 is also right next door (stock up on beer and booze here for less than half the cost at the hotel).
