Quietly beautiful

Stayed here as was close to Bumrungad International Hospital, and was very happy I did. The Best Western and JW Marriott also very close, but they are indistinguishable from any other big western chain, and rooms look out onto the jammed, dirty streets and roofs of Bangkok. After I left the hospital each day I relaxed in lush greenery, listening only to birds in the trees. Vegetarian restaurant on site was delicious, also had a spa and great saltwater pool, and very good WiFi, so no reason to leave. But I did of course, and there's an amazing Italian trattoria just down the street, as we as many food stalls and convenience stores. Taxis easy to get as well.
