We arrived at the bus stop and rented a motorbike which we drove to the location, which was easy to find. (Motorbike is recommended as the walk from the bus station is 30 minutes.) We liked that it is out of the way of the tourist hoard. The room is quite large with a kitchen, fridge, sink, comfortable bed, couch (be careful when you sit near the edge!), large water kettle, and patio. It is set back from a road that can be loud from the outside, but inside the room is blissfully quiet. The setting is peaceful and lovely.
There were some areas that we thought were lacking:
1. It would be nice if there were some comfortable chairs or hammock for the patio area.
2. The stove was not hooked up, so we did not use the kitchen.
3. I could not get the TV to work (I did not ask as we were not interested in TV).
4. Breakfast was okay. Coffee was instant, which is disappointing for the quality and price paid for the room.
5. It would be nice to have lamps on the end tables by the bed.
6. Nothing was explained to us on arrival except times for breakfast. Nothing about checkout time, how to work the TV, how to work the stove (which didn't work), or how often they clean the rooms. I think language divide may be the problem more than hospitality (I am American and my partner is Chinese).
Overall it is a comfortable, lovely, peaceful place and we were both quite pleased with our stay.
