Bad location, plan to pay for transportation

This hotel is far away from town, which is good and bad. It's nice to be in a secluded area away from the partying, and the beach (which is actually next door, not owned by HIP) was very nice. Good snorkeling right out front. Unfortunately, you only have 2 options to go to town; you can walk 45 minutes through the jungle, or you can pay $5 each way to take a boat. The stairs were not so bad, but if you are not in good shape, they can be daunting. The cabins were nice enough, and the air conditioning worked very well.

Nice, cosy place. Have nice own bar and restaurant.
You have to take a boat or walk by jungle and beaches almost 50min to the city. You have to pay 200-300THB for a single trip by boat. You have to pay more in the night.
