A true gem on Koh Tao
Situated on one of the best snorkeling areas on Koh Tao (we saw 5-6 sharks merely 300 meters from the hotel). It is quiet, the resort provides free shuttle to/from the pier and Sairee beach (good for food).
The room we had was right at the beach, which made for exquisite morning routine.
Breakfast is good, with eggs made to order. Lunch and dinner are available at the restaurant. Decent food, especially good for when you just want to spend the day not moving anywhere. Otherwise, you can jump to Sairee for some really delicious food.
Staff was always positive and attentive. A minor setback was that their English ranged from poor to decent to good, and you had to speak to several people sometimes for simple things. But there was no harm done, so, all good :)
Note that the prices they offer for daytrips are higher than what you can easily negotiate at the pier. Trip to Nang Yuan cost 1000 THB for two at the hotel, and we got it down to 600THB with the first guy who appoached us.
Overall - a peaceful, quiet, romantic place, with a great beach for lazying and snorkeling and kayaking. Smiling people, ok food, and free transport to the island hubs for more. Recommended!
