Great new hotel

This hotel has just recently been opened by the wife and her family. So as a new hotel everything is clean and works. The wifi is brilliant and fast. The husband picked us up from the airport free of charge and gave us a quick tour of the walls but the hotel was less than 10 minutes away from the airport. Breakfast was good, but as more and more people stayed, depending on the time you went to eat there could have been a squeeze to fit everyone in. Good choice of breakfast however you only got coffee or tea refills once. You are about 10 minutes walk to the food market which is great to eat out for. To get to the night market would probably talk about 30-45 minutes depending of how fast you walk and not stopping to look at the food stalls and cafes etc. the staff were really helpful, and chatty and helped you book for tours etc. however the rental of the motorbikes were a little high as the company they used wanted to keep,your passports and a 5000 bht deposit whereas down the road only took copies of your passport and 3000bht deposit. As you were slightly out of anywhere, but within walking distance of the plentiful wats and food market i would recommend hiring a bike or car, if you can drive either as transport can set you back each time, however the red taxis only charged us 30bht each to the night market one way, but to anywhere else can be costly. The good side to this hotel is its quiet, staff are super friendly and helpful and wifi was excellent. The downside is you get no drinking water in your rooms, if you take any from the minibar you are charged and the safe in the room is only a key safe hanging on the wall which you need to ask the recption for a key, so it isnt ideal to put in big valuables. Overall we really enjoyed this stay and would highly recommend it. When we go to Chiang Mai again we would definitely stay here. Thank you to the wonderful hosts.
