Lovely hotel with a stunning view of the sea, but the beach not suitable for swimming
The cabins are scattered around in the beautiful green rainforest. Excellent infinity pool facing the sea with a shallow area for kids. Pool bar serving drinks and snacks as well. The water temperature is just perfect!
There's another lovely shaded pool that is usually completely empty and has infant section in it as well.
The beach is basically not usable due to high tide. The only time the water is close to the beach is 9AM and by 10AM it's usually gone far far away. There's only 1 beach on Ko Yao Yai where you can swim all day long and it's located about 20min motorbike ride from the hotel, next to Santhiya resort.
The cabin itself was nice and clean, with big veranda with a day bed and lounge chairs.
Outdoor rain shower was nice in general but had 2 problems - the hot water was running out after less than 5 min and the fact that there was no hand held shower head made showering (especially with a small kid) not very comfortable (this is where our son's beach bucket came in handy)
Breakfast was pretty good, but I haven't seen any asian dishes in it. In general the food at the restaurant was ok, but there's a thai restaurant just about 10 min walk from the hotel that serves excellent food and is definitely worth visiting.
