Nice hotel, but some areas for improvement

The hotel has been century acquired by Starwood and while we wee there, the were crews of workers implementing improvements, with constant background of electrical tools.
second, there is no beach. The sea arrives right to the wall protecting the hotel.
Third, in the evening the hotel is dark, very dark, to the point of being depressing. So every night we went, to Lamai to see people and a bit of life. The village provides excellent food at a fraction of the cost of the hotel.

on the positive side, the hotel is beautiful, nice pool, free kayaks and excellent breakfast.
I would go back

Stunning design but beach is not great

Lovely hotel.
