Great beach, rooms a bit tired but comfortable

Good location directly on the beach. Rooms are fine, nothing overly impressive but comfy enough. Breakfast was good, but other food is just ok, the Thai food is westernized and the western food is Thai-ized. The staff are very friendly, give good advice, and don't overcharge for the convenience of arranging trips, etc. You can easily walk to Had Rin but don't rent a bike there, instead go near the pier and find Harp Bar. The pools at the hotel are fine but not really necessary.
