Highly recommended romantic getaway

Booked as a romantic week away for Mr wife and I, we weren't disappointed. This is the second Banyan Tree resort we've stayed at, having already tasted the delights of Phuket. For me, Samui just edges it of the two resorts. Whilst Phuket has larger garden and pool, Samui has a better view, being on a hillside overlooking the sea. The island of Samui as a whole is less seedy than Phuket also.
The villas are very luxurious and clean and the staff are splendidly friendly. Not cheap, but why would anyone wasn't to take their loved one on a cheap romantic getaway?
