Small hotel with great beachside rooms
we initially booked the pool view villa which was very disappointing when we got there. the room that they gave us wasn't even facing the pool and there was construction going on next door and we immediately asked for an upgrade which we had to pay extra per day. since it was my birthday treat, we upgraded and they gave us a gorgeous room in their new wing, it's their beachside pool access room and that was just fab! you can walk into the pool from your balcony and it faces the ocean and the beach. the hotel's restaurant nearby was pretty good and affordable but you can definitely find better food outside. about a short 10 min walk and there are lots of coffee shops/small shops/7 eleven, banana pancake and 2 prominent thai restaurants which are a must try! it was delicious and very affordable. the resorts' dive centre is right next door and couldn't be more convenient as well as well run. we saw a few different dive centres with big groups of people and for someone who doesn't dive very often, it's quite intimidating where you're herded like cattle. i much preferred the seashell dive centre as they were run very professionally and more intimate. and they weren't very expensive either.
