Nice old-fashioned Thai chalets - some beachfront

Great location, good & more quiet part of Chaweng beach, very nicely landscaped gardens, yet breakfast and food rather disappointing. Staff overall very friendly yet most of them 'no English' as 90% of them from Myanmar and a bit lost overall ("Espresso? Huh?"). Endless construction going on with no end in sight (renovating chalet after chalet one at a time) and lots of chain saw action.
Thai-chinese owner with good business acumen but lacks in communication skills. A bit more hospitality from the top could go long way. Forget about late check-out - despite many empty chalets.
Try harder, the potential is there but some more imagination needed.
