Clean, well appointed rooms, great river views

i was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, which was great for the price - compact but clean, modern, and well appointed. despite lonely planet's warning regarding noise levels from karaoke in the restaurant, it was all over by 11pm at the latest and very quiet after that. good breakfast options, the views over the river are fabulous, and the staff are friendly and helpful - they speak just enough english for basics like booking a tuk-tuk. don't expect anyone to speak much english here, even at the laughingly titled 'tourist information office', though people are used to tourists and will go out of their way to help as much as they can. certainly worth stopping off for a night or two.
