Excellent resort
We were family with children and decided to choose this resort for many reasons. The most important point is the total privacy, very close to airport, location on the beach and luxury. Everything was perfect except the taxi mafia near the resort. The resort is isolated so you will need transportation. No restaurants near the resort so you will be obliged to take a taxi which I think they are offering unreasonable charges for this service. They are not allowing any other company to help you and sometimes threatens other taxi drivers. As we understood from the resort management this problem is serious on Maikhao beach and no body can help or stop them. This issue annoyed us very much and we felt un secure because the taxi company kept following us and not allowing us to stop any other taxi. It's very hard to walk long distances with young children in very hot weather just because they were not allowing anyone to pick us.
As a final advise please be aware of this mafia. I hope the resort can solve this serious issue because regardless all the advantages of the resort the transportation is value thing is the island.
