Spent 4 full days at Kirati Beach Resort. Stayed in the newly constructed building set a bit further back from the beach (the bungalows also looked nice and were closer to the ocean). The room was spacious, clean, had a small safe in the room and a small refrigerator. Only downside of the room was there were no screens on the balcony door so couldn't keep it open and had to use the AC.
The staff were very nice and helpful. They rent out motorbikes day for used or day new. The food at the restaurant was very good as well but a bit overpriced - however, I could say that for all of the restaurants on the beach. The high tide comes all the way up to the steps of the beach restaurant at Kirati and there isn't much beach in front when the tide is out (mostly rocks). However, just a few meters down and you'll find plenty of sand and lounge chairs. There were a lot of families with children on the beach when I was there and the beach had a nice laid-back feel to it.
If you travel by boat to Samui island it is cheaper to book a seat on the shuttle van as opposed to having the hotel pick you up for 650baht one-way from the pier.
Over all, it was a very pleasant place and would go back again.
