Very close to all the action on Walking Street

Grand Hotel is very basic in amenities. There are house flies hovering and sitting on your plates while having breakfast. The staff ask you to pick up your breakfast cutlery yourself :(
Front desk is unfriendly and will charge you extra for checking out even an hour late.There are no lifts and if your room is on the 2nd floor you gotta carry your luggage up yourself. The bellboys will rather huddle around a newspaper discussing the latest politics than help you carry your bags up.When your companion for the night leaves there are no phone calls made to the room to ensure everything is alright and to permit her to leave.If you ask for advice from front desk staff for taking taxi to a place of interest, they show least interest and point you to a bunch of brochures stacked near the lobby door. If not for the convenience of being smack in Walking Street, this hotel is not worth a stay.

great location but awful room and service

Great Location
