Montalay was definitely a little pricier than our other places. We stayed to have access to good snorkelling, which it was. Right on the beach and clean facilities. We missed the family feel of some smaller cheaper places we had stayed. It felt more upper class and less personable. We found one waiter friendly and the rest non Chalant. Our desire was to snorkel so the setting was great. We actually watched a movie one night. The food was decent but more expensive. Would need a taxi to town so somewhat isolated. If you want clean, beach, sun, relaxing, decent pool and like a little higher end, then it is suitable.
