Avoid if you can
My travel partner and I booked this hostel for 4 nights in hopes of saving money and boating over to Koh Phangan for Full Moon. Big mistake. The hostel is located very far from any main road and attractions despite its claim of being close. If you stay here it's almost necessary that you have a motorbike to get you around.
The receptionist is usually sleeping in the room out back therefore making it hard to check in or out at unusual times. Their dog also barks aggressively at everyone who comes in.
The room we got was NOT as advertised. It was a private twin room on the ground floor. Door didn't lock from the outside, and there was a huge gaping hole under the door that allowed for a very uncomfortable amount of millipedes to enter the room at their leisure. Not to mention the infestation of ants that march in one by one every morning from the window.
The room itself was grimy. Cobwebs in the ceiling, mold in the bathroom. The floors are cement and the beds are essentially metal frames with overused futon cushions of which you sink right through and feel the entire frame. There are two outlets and only one by the beds and one by the door. Water pressure was nil in both shower and sink.
Would not recommend. We left and paid a lot more money to stay in Koh Phangan.
