Exclusive Luxury on Lamai Beach

My wife and I just returned from one of the best holidays we have ever had, and a major contributing factor was our stay at Ammatara Pura Pool Villa. The hotel is absolutely stunning. With only 18 pool villas on expansive and immaculate grounds, the feeling of exclusivity and peaceful luxury is pervasive. The units are beautifully and tastefully decorated, are very spacious and comfortable, and have all of the amenities you could possibly need. The private infinity splash pool with built in jacuzzi seats was the perfect size, and our unit provided a high level of privacy on our private deck and pool. The semi-outdoor rain shower in the private entry courtyard was unbelievable, with natural light and the sound of the waves in the background.

Because the resort is large compared to the number of units, there was never a problem getting lounge chairs by the pool or on the beach, and it was always extremely quiet, peaceful and relaxing. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and all spoke good English, so we had no communication problems at all. We had one small problem with the room, which is not even significant enough to mention in this review, and the Resident Manager, Mr. Arijit Ghosh, showed great concern and took great efforts to ensure that we were completely satisfied with our stay. The beach is absolutely stunning, and having walked up and down most of Lamai Beach, Ammatara Pura Pool Villa was clearly the most luxurious resort on the beach. Every passerby walking along the beach stopped to look at the hotel, and many came off the beach to walk the grounds and take photos, such is the beauty of the hotel. The hotel is only a fifteen minute walk (along the beach or roadway) from Lamai village, but the hotel has a Tuk Tuk that can run you into town for free in five minutes.

My wife and I will definitely return to Ammatara Pura Pool Villas in the future, and cannot recommend the hotel highly enough for those looking for a luxurious and peaceful retrea
