Awesome hosts made it a great stay

This is not the place to stay if you are looking for activities & shopping at your doorstep, but the perfect place to chill, unwind and relax with its beautiful quiet surroundings. The hosts Caroline & Paul are fabulously accommodating and helpful. We checked in without any itinerary, just a rough idea of what we wanted to do over the next few days. All we had to do was tell Caroline, and she arranged everything for us - going out of her way to get us the best deals. True, the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by rubber plantations and the like, but all you need to do is rent a motor-bike (the hotel has a couple in terrific condition with cool helmuts) at superbly affordable rates and you are good to go. We did that and had a great time exploring. On the days that we did not take the motor-bike, Caroline also connected us with a nice taxi-driver Mr Bew who could pick us up from wherever we were when we called him. Food wise, it is a good thing that we do not have to feel obliged to eat the breakfast provided as none is provided - this gives us the freedom to decide what we wanted to do for breakfast. We enjoyed preparing some eggs, sausages and toasts and the leisurely breakfast overlooking the beautiful gardens was so relaxing. A great way to start the day. As it was still quite low season when we were there, we pretty much had the pool to ourselves most times. The pool deck is also thoughtfully designed making it really very pleasant place to be at. While some reviewers had issues over the bugs that visit the room ever so often, we have no issues with it at all although a couple of times, we found a toad in our shoes. It's quite funny, really, to give your shoe a knock and out comes a little fat toad hopping away. If we were to visit Krabi again, this hotel will be our first choice again.
